Our School
About Us
Allen Jay Elementary School is located in the southeastern area of Guilford County Schools district. We serve approximately 450 students in Grades Pre-K through Fifth Grade. Our mascot is the Jaybird, and our principal is Mrs. Beth Callicutt.
For the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years our school will be housed at two different locations while our brand new building is being built. Our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students will attend Allen Jay Elementary housed at Triangle Lake Montessori located at 2401 Triangle Lake Road, High Point, NC. Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will attend Allen Jay Elementary housed at Southern Guilford Middle School located at 5747 Drake Road, Greensboro, NC. PreK will be served at other sites during the rebuilding of Allen Jay Elementary. The current estimated date to return to the new building is currently August 2027.
Our school day for our K-2nd students housed at Triangle Lake is from 8:25am to 3:10pm.
Our school day for our 3rd-5th students housed at Southern Guilford Middle is from 7:25am to 2:10pm
